Biography
Modela formed back in 2004 as a 4 piece acoustic outfit, after several face
lifts, and line up changes they returned with a bang in 2007 as a 5 piece
rock band. The songs have graceful melodies and huge guitar solos.
Their songs will simply stick in your head. They have been described by
some as “a cross between Oasis and Guns & Roses”
After learning their craft for years as a cover band on the local circuit, in Wiltshire Modela have recorded a 3 track EP Nothing Personal, which combines Modela’s graceful lyrics with stadium-ready melodies to blend out a record full of fist-pumping rock. The EP was created in modest time, and contains fan favourite and standout track “Starlight". The band is currently gigging relentlessly showcasing their songs at any given opportunity.
Modela, are all local lads from Trowbridge in Wiltshire, and have been playing in bands from early ages, Tony (Lead singer, 24) and brother Tim (rhythm guitar, 22) have been gigging as an acoustic duo since early 2004, with the occasional appearance by Jon (Bassist 21) who joined them in mid 2004. The band formed over a number of months at a local open mic night, where Tony met Beau (Lead guitar, 24) and subsequently Rob (Drummer, 23) both highly skilled, and respected musicians within the area.
Once the band had formed, they set about writing and gigging with great success. Within a few months they had 12 songs with which the band are both proud of, and believe in.
They take their fan base with them to every gig, and are always on form, both on stage and off. And have gained a good reputation from every pub, club and street corner they have performed at.
